About the Role
The Senior Sales Trainer partners with the Regional Sales Manager to develop, coach, and enable sales performance for the Closets and Garages businesses. This hands‑on role ensures new hires are fully onboarded, provides follow‑up training, and delivers targeted support to underperforming reps so they meet performance expectations. Key responsibilities include designing and executing the onboarding curriculum, delivering classroom, virtual, and in‑field training, conducting skill‑gap analysis, and providing ongoing coaching through ride‑alongs and shadowing. The trainer also supports designers in the field, creates training materials and SOPs, and assists with product, pricing, and sales initiative rollouts while maintaining strong cross‑functional collaboration with Operations. • Own and execute the new‑hire sales training program for closets and garages. • Deliver training on sales process, product knowledge, design fundamentals, objection handling, closing techniques, system usage, and paperwork standards. • Partner with the Regional Sales Manager to ensure new hires are field‑ready before taking appointments. • Coordinate training logistics, including accommodations, meals, documentation, sales kits, and samples. • Track onboarding progress, manage system access, and set up software resources. • Conduct skill‑gap analysis and develop effective training materials. • Lead ongoing sales, design, and process training to improve close rate, average ticket, and design accuracy. • Provide paperwork training and quality control, spot‑checking designs and documentation for compliance. • Support designers in the field with design questions, technical errors, and product specifications. • Identify Design Consultants needing extra support and deliver targeted coaching and improvement plans. • Conduct ride‑alongs, shadowing, and follow‑up coaching to reinforce standards. • Maintain a strong field presence to observe real customer interactions and model best practices. • Act as an extension of the Regional Sales Manager to reinforce accountability and execution standards. • Support sales‑related projects, including creation of training materials, playbooks, SOPs, scripts, and presentations. • Assist with rollouts of new products, pricing, programs, and sales initiatives. • Partner cross‑functionally with Operations to align training with install and service expectations. • Provide administrative support within Closet Pro, including backend functionality and process assistance. • Stay current on market trends, product updates, and corporate sales environment changes. • Assist with scheduling, prioritization, hiring input, and performance feedback as needed. • Achieve territory net sales to budget. • Achieve territory net close percentage (NCP) to budget. • Achieve territory average ticket to budget. • Achieve territory net sales per lead issue (NSLI) to budget. • Reduce service rate caused by sales‑team errors (paperwork, measurements, etc.). • Improve training quality metrics: time‑to‑first sale, 60‑day KPI attainment, 180‑day retention of trained reps. • Deliver training effectively in both group and one‑on‑one settings. • Use data‑driven analysis to diagnose performance and process issues. • Travel within the territory as required. • Communicate confidently with clients and internal partners on design, payments, ordering, and technical support.

What You Bring
Candidates need 3–5+ years of in‑home sales, sales leadership or training experience, strong consultative selling skills, and a background in design‑driven sales environments. Required skills include organization, data‑driven analysis, CAD proficiency (2 years), spatial reasoning, and excellent communication. A high school diploma is required, with some college preferred, and the role demands willingness to travel within the territory. The position is office‑based with moderate noise levels, requires occasional lifting of up to 35 lb, and includes travel, evenings, and weekend virtual support as needed. It is classified as exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and follows Renuity’s salary and benefits policies. • Possess 3‑5+ years of in‑home sales, sales leadership, or sales training experience. • Demonstrate strong consultative one‑call‑close selling ability. • Have experience in design‑driven sales environments such as closets or garages. • Be highly organized, detail‑oriented, and process‑focused. • Hold at least a high school diploma; some college preferred. • Have 2 years of design experience and 2 years of hands‑on CAD experience. • Exhibit strong spatial reasoning and design problem‑solving skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite and capable of learning new software; CAD skills are critical. • Physical ability to sit for long periods and occasionally lift or move up to 35 lb.
