About the Role

• Design, build, test, and operate UAS test platforms and experimental payloads for Counter‑UAS missions. • Lead engineering product development, including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, and status reporting. • Produce calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design packages, and technical reports. • Provide technical guidance to CAD designers, drafters, and junior engineers. • Conduct requirements analysis, interface definition, and system validation. • Identify emerging UAS technologies for evaluation. • Install, configure, test, maintain, and operate electronic warfare systems, radars, and EO/IR cameras. • Fly, test, and repair various unmanned aircraft systems, supporting C‑UAS demonstrations and training. • Plan missions with software, instruct personnel, maintain flight logs, and generate after‑action reports.

Responsibilities include overseeing engineering products, creating technical documentation, and guiding junior staff. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field with at least five years of relevant experience (or nine years without a degree) and possess an FAA Part 107 certification. Required skills include strong written and verbal communication, basic mechanical and tool proficiency, and a foundational understanding of RF theory, communications, GPS, and electronic countermeasure systems. Travel up to 30% of the time, including overseas and high‑threat environments, is expected. Desired qualifications include basic engineering experience and certifications, advanced remote pilot‑in‑command expertise, and technical proficiency in UAS engineering and maintenance. The role demands adaptability, mission focus, and the ability to thrive in austere or dynamic deployment conditions.
