About the Role

The engineer will design, develop, and maintain custom plugins, add‑ons, and automation scripts for BIM (Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D) and CAD platforms, ensure interoperability, conduct testing, provide technical support and training, produce documentation, and stay current with emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and cloud computing. • Develop and customize software add‑ons, plugins, and automation tools for BIM (Revit, Civil 3D) and CAD platforms. • Implement scripts to reduce repetitive tasks and improve workflow efficiency. • Conduct surveys and site investigations to identify automation opportunities. • Create technical documentation, user guides, and API references for developed solutions. • Provide technical support and training to staff and end‑users on custom tools. • Ensure compatibility of tools with software updates using version control (Git) and rigorous testing. • Explore and integrate emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and cloud computing into BIM/CAD processes. • Lead and mentor team members in BIM and CAD best practices.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, have 12+ years of programming experience and at least 6 years in infrastructure engineering projects, and be proficient in languages such as Python, C++, C#, VB, Lisp, or JavaScript, as well as BIM/CAD APIs and data exchange formats (IFC, DWG, DXF, JSON). Strong problem‑solving, communication, leadership, and organizational skills are required, along with experience in databases (MSSQL) and cloud solutions like Autodesk Forge.
