Power Bi Specialist

About the Role

You will extract, transform and load data from various sources, clean and preprocess it for accuracy, and develop scripts and workflows to automate collection and processing. The role involves exploratory data analysis, statistical modeling, hypothesis testing and creating interactive dashboards and reports with Power BI. You will communicate findings to stakeholders, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and ensure data quality through controls and monitoring. • Develop Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint solutions. • Extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources. • Clean and preprocess data to maintain accuracy and consistency. • Create scripts and workflows to automate data collection and processing. • Perform exploratory data analysis and build interactive dashboards using Power BI. • Apply statistical techniques, hypothesis testing, and predictive modeling. • Communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders. • Implement data quality controls and monitor data integrity. • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) with business units. • Identify and pursue opportunities for process improvement. • Maintain compliance with safety, integrity, and regulatory standards.

What You Bring

The role requires adherence to internal and external regulations, as well as Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, meaning you must take responsibility for your actions while caring for colleagues and the business. A bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics or a related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred. Proven experience in data analysis or business intelligence, proficiency with SQL, Python, R and Power BI, and familiarity with machine learning or OpenAI are desired. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment are essential. • Hold a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field; master’s preferred. • Demonstrate experience with SQL, Python or R and data visualization tools. • Exhibit strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills. • Work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment. • Knowledge of machine learning and OpenAI is a plus.
