About the Role

• Follow safety protocols during classroom training and on‑the‑job learning. • Perform scheduled, predictive, and preventive maintenance on mechatronic systems. • Install, repair, adjust, and test equipment to ensure proper operation. • Read and interpret electronic and mechanical documentation for material‑handling equipment. • Analyze technical specifications of mechatronic subsystems and components. • Learn PLC programming and assist Automation Engineers in the laboratory. • Enroll in and complete a 12‑week college training program at a designated campus. • Complete one year of on‑the‑job learning after the training program. • Work flexible schedules, shifts, and areas as needed. • Work in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures and moderate computer use.

What You Bring

The Mechatronics & Robotics Apprentice (MRA) will learn to install, alter, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electronic, mechanical, computer and control systems in a complex fulfillment and distribution center. Training is delivered through a blended classroom, laboratory and on‑the‑job program, after which apprentices are promoted to Mechatronics & Robotics Technician. Participants must complete a 12‑week college program at one of four designated campuses, with travel, room and board expenses covered. Candidates must hold a high‑school diploma or equivalent, be at least 18 years old, pass a mechanical aptitude test, and be able to enroll in the required 12‑week college course. They must also be able to work flexible schedules, use Microsoft Office applications and complete a one‑year on‑the‑job learning period after training. Preferred applicants have prior experience in electrical, mechanical or controls fields and demonstrate the physical ability to perform tasks such as reaching overhead, kneeling, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 lb while wearing required personal protective equipment. • Communicate effectively within team environments in both school and on‑the‑job settings. • Hold a high school diploma, be at least 18 years old, and pass a Mechanical Aptitude Test. • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. • Preferred: prior experience in electrical, mechanical, or controls fields. • Physical ability to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lb. • Wear required personal protective equipment, including hard hat, face shield, and composite toe shoes.
