About the Role
Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks equipped with front, side, or rear lift attachments to transport waste or recyclable material to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities, performing essential backing maneuvers across commercial, residential, and roll‑off routes. Key duties include following WM safety, OSHA, DOT, and legal regulations; conducting pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections with DVIR documentation; reporting unsafe conditions, incidents, and service interruptions; attending training and briefings; collaborating with the Operations Manager to improve route efficiency; dumping containers cleanly; adhering to assigned routes; and completing end‑of‑day paperwork while assisting other drivers as needed. • Operate heavy‑duty trucks with lift attachments to transport waste and recyclables. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and complete DVIR reports. • Follow WM Safety and Life Critical Rules, OSHA, DOT, and all applicable laws. • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, and service interruptions to Management or Dispatch. • Attend required training, briefings, and meetings. • Collaborate with Operations Manager to improve route efficiency and best practices. • Safely dump containers, keep customer sites clean, and follow assigned routes. • Complete end‑of‑day documentation and assist fellow drivers as needed. • Meet physical demands such as lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and maneuvering in tight spaces.

What You Bring
Applicants must have at least one year of experience operating a CDL‑required vehicle or equivalent recent military driving experience, be at least 18 years old, be legally eligible to work, and possess a valid Class A or B CDL with an air‑brake endorsement; a high school diploma or GED is preferred. The role demands physical activities such as standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, talking, and hearing, with reasonable accommodations available as needed.
