About the Role
The engineer supports the project management team by overseeing administrative and technical functions needed to deliver construction projects efficiently and in compliance with contract requirements. Responsibilities include managing project documents, coordinating with contractors and design teams, tracking progress, and ensuring timely communication among stakeholders. • Manage and maintain all project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and daily reports. • Track, log, and monitor contractor submittals to ensure timely review and distribution. • Prepare, process, and follow up on Requests for Information, communicating responses promptly. • Update RFI and submittal logs in PMWeb with accurate, compliant data. • Organize hard‑copy and electronic project files and oversee document management systems. • Coordinate with contractors, design teams, inspectors, and project managers to ensure clear information flow. • Assist in preparing construction meeting agendas, presentations, and action‑item logs. • Support field operations by aligning project documentation with field activities. • Create exhibits, graphics, and supporting materials for meetings using various electronic formats. • Attend and document project meetings, write agendas and minutes, and maintain expediting logs.

What You Bring
The Office Engineer II position is based at Los Angeles World Airports in Los Angeles, CA. The role requires on‑site presence and regular travel to the LAX airport facilities. A successful candidate will have a strong technical and construction background, knowledge of the full design and construction life cycles, and experience working in large, complex, airport‑related projects. The role demands excellent interpersonal skills to maintain open communication and foster teamwork with internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or a related field, ten or more years of relevant experience, and preferably a California professional engineering license. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and project management systems such as PM Web is required. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam; preferred experience with PMWeb. • Minimum 10 years of experience, preferably on airport projects and large, complex teams. • Experience with Design‑Bid‑Build, Design‑CMAR, and Design‑Build delivery methods. • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field; CA PE license preferred. • Optional certifications: AAAE, LEED, PMP, etc. • Must provide a company‑issued laptop and cell phone; remote work not permitted.

Benefits
