About the Role

The Engineer will coordinate, implement, and ensure on‑time execution and quality control of civil designs for wind, solar and other infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Civil Engineering Director, the role covers site planning, road layout, hydraulics, grading, permitting support and construction assistance, while maintaining strong client interaction and internal collaboration. • Discuss project requirements with clients and deliver value‑engineering solutions • Analyze survey, mapping, and materials‑testing data using modeling software • Create and review civil drawings for road alignments, drainage, and grading • Assess environmental impacts and project‑related risks • Support civil bid proposals and manage multiple projects concurrently • Ensure designs comply with legal, health, safety, and industry code requirements • Plan, schedule, and execute civil scope deliverables on time • Coordinate closely with RRC Project Managers and the Civil Engineering Group Manager • Maintain responsiveness to client needs and evolving project requirements

What You Bring

The position requires occasional travel (approximately 10 %) that may include overnight stays, and jobsite visits involve navigating uneven terrain and light physical activity such as bending, stooping, and lifting up to 20 lb. Office work is primarily seated, with a raised‑desk workstation available. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering and be a Texas‑licensed Professional Engineer (or obtain licensure within six months). Four to eight years of consulting design experience, proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and civil software such as HEC‑HMS, HEC‑RAS, ArcGIS, and standard office tools are required; renewable‑energy project experience is a plus. • Hold a B.S. or M.S. in civil engineering • Be a Texas‑registered Professional Engineer or obtain PE within six months • Possess 4–8 years of civil engineering design experience in a consulting environment • Demonstrate proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D; familiarity with HEC‑HMS, HEC‑RAS, ArcGIS, HY‑8 preferred • Know hydrological methods such as Rational Method, Small Watershed Method, and SCS NRCS soils • Renewable‑energy project experience is advantageous
