About the Role

The welder will perform routine welding on HVAC units according to blueprints, company standards, and applicable codes to meet inspection criteria. Key duties include executing welding tasks on HVAC units, setting up and maintaining welding machines, welding in vertical, horizontal and overhead positions, inspecting welds for defects, using hand and power tools, grinding and cleaning work areas, and supporting Total Productive Maintenance and basic mechanical adjustments. The employee must follow hazardous waste disposal and fire prevention procedures. • Perform routine welding on HVAC units per blueprints and standards. • Set up, maintain, and adjust welding machines for vertical, horizontal, and overhead welds. • Inspect welds for cracks, burn-through, and spatter; grind and clean as needed. • Use hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools; support TPM and basic mechanical adjustments. • Follow hazardous waste disposal and fire prevention procedures. • Read tape measures, blueprints, and weld symbols accurately.

What You Bring

A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with 1–3 years of welding experience; experience with Lean Manufacturing is a plus, and welding certifications are preferred but not required. The role requires ability to read tape measures and blueprints, understand weld symbols, set up and maintain welding equipment, communicate professionally, work in a team, and pass required welding certification tests. The work environment involves exposure to seasonal temperature extremes, dust, and occasional chemical fumes. Employees may stand for up to 95% of the day and lift up to 50 lb. • Hold a high school diploma or GED; 1–3 years welding experience preferred. • Experience with Lean Manufacturing processes and welding certifications advantageous. • Communicate professionally, follow directions, and work effectively in a team. • Pass required welding certification test and lift up to 50 lb.
