About the Role

You will oversee multiple CMT projects, review technical reports, prepare and evaluate proposals, and assist with department management and P&L responsibilities. Providing technical expertise, you will support CMT staff through mentorship, training, and development, and actively mentor junior project managers while collaborating with other managers and recruiters on staffing decisions. You will also host or attend project meetings with clients, delivering technical resolutions as needed, and market our services by networking to establish new and maintain existing client relationships. • Oversee CMT projects, review technical reports, prepare proposals, and manage department P&L. • Provide technical expertise and mentor CMT staff, including junior project managers. • Lead client project meetings and resolve technical issues. • Market services, develop new business, and maintain client relationships.

ECS Limited is offering a unique opportunity for an experienced Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Principal Engineer to join our Dallas field services team in a dynamic work environment. In this role you will be primarily responsible for ensuring that quality and performance on a variety of projects meet our standards, and you will consult with clients and project teams to ensure goals and deadlines are met from proposal through final review. The position requires a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Geology. A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience drafting, reviewing, and approving technical reports is required, along with a Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license and senior reviewer designation. Candidates must maintain all necessary licenses and certifications, possess a valid driver’s license and insurance, and demonstrate technical competence, leadership, safety, professionalism, and strong marketing skills. • Hold a BS in Civil, Construction, Materials, Architectural Engineering, or Geology. • Minimum 12 years of experience drafting, reviewing, and approving technical reports. • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) with senior reviewer designation. • Maintain required licenses/certifications and possess a valid driver’s license with insurance. • Demonstrated leadership, project management, consulting, and business development skills. • Expert knowledge of CMT principles, ASTM laboratory standards, and strong marketing abilities. • Excellent communication and decision‑making skills.
