About the Role
Manages and provides daily leadership for the container facility while maintaining company service and safety standards. The manager ensures all operations align with WM’s commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. The role includes supervising staff, assigning duties, scheduling resources, overseeing material purchases, coordinating container deliveries and swaps, and compiling financial information for capital assets. Performance monitoring involves evaluating departmental productivity, identifying operational issues, implementing process improvements, and enforcing company policies, safety programs, and procedures. The position is responsible for personnel management, including coaching, training, discipline, performance evaluations, and providing input on termination, compensation, promotion, and training needs for new or less experienced employees. • Supervise daily operations and staff at the container facility. • Assign tasks, schedule resources, and coordinate container deliveries and swaps. • Oversee purchasing of materials and compile financial data for capital assets. • Monitor departmental performance, identify issues, and implement process improvements. • Enforce company policies, safety programs, and conduct employee coaching and training. • Evaluate employee performance and contribute to decisions on termination, compensation, and promotion. • Determine and deliver training for new or less experienced employees. • Work in a mixed office and plant/field environment using standard office equipment.
