About the Role

In this role you will join a passionate new product development team focused on innovation within our extensive HOFFMAN cooling product line. You will work with multi‑functional teams to launch products by guiding market specifications through stage‑gate processes from concept to development to deployment, collaborating with product management, manufacturing, quality, and lab test personnel to introduce new air‑conditioning, heat exchanger, and filter‑fan products. Your responsibilities include performing research and development of vapor‑compression technology systems, conducting calculations, analyses, and simulations to validate designs and predict performance using tools such as Engineering Equation Solver (EES), VapCyc, and CoilDesigner. You will partner with the R&D lab and UL standards team on testing and certifications, specify purchased part requirements, and collaborate with supply leaders to source components. • Guide market specifications through stage‑gate processes to launch new HVACR products from concept to deployment. • Collaborate with product management, manufacturing, quality, and lab teams to introduce air‑conditioning, heat exchanger, and filter‑fan products. • Conduct R&D on vapor‑compression systems and perform simulations (EES, VapCyc, CoilDesigner) to validate designs and predict performance. • Partner with R&D lab and UL standards team on testing and certifications; specify part requirements and coordinate sourcing with supply leaders.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and has at least five years of HVACR industry experience. Required expertise includes vapor‑compression system design, component selection, refrigeration system modeling, simulation, and testing, along with strong written and verbal communication skills to work with stakeholders across multiple business lines. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) and at least five years of HVACR experience, including vapor‑compression system design and refrigeration modeling. • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional stakeholders.
