About the Role
The Purchasing Estimator role focuses on material take-offs, verification of change requests, and cost-analysis for plan modifications, supporting both purchasing and operations teams. Key duties include creating and maintaining material take-offs for existing and revised plans, interacting with purchasing, operations, and architectural consultants, performing field verification, and assisting with material EPO reviews. • Create material take-offs for all existing, new, and revised plans, starting with framing. • Maintain up-to-date take-offs for active plans. • Verify take-off change requests with Purchasing and Operations. • Liaise with architect/engineering consultants on plan changes affecting take-offs. • Conduct cost-analysis recommendations and research design costs. • Review material EPO requests to ensure alignment with take-offs and eliminate unnecessary orders. • Perform field verification of actual quantities versus estimated take-offs. • Complete additional take-offs for special projects or specification changes.

What You Bring
Applicants need at least two years of residential construction or architecture experience, a high school diploma (associate degree preferred), strong knowledge of construction design, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to work with JD Edwards, Build Pro, and other proprietary tools. • Minimum two years residential construction or architecture experience. • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred. • Comprehensive understanding of residential construction, architectural, structural, and MEP design. • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial modeling; experience with JD Edwards, Build Pro, etc. • Strong written communication, organization, and detail-orientation. • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines with minimal supervision. • Valid driver’s license and ability to work well under pressure as a team player.
