About the Role

In this role you will lead and support your team to meet daily business unit goals while maintaining flawless communication, safety, quality, and delivery. You will develop and implement comprehensive training plans for new hires and current team members, and fill in for absent colleagues to keep production flowing without disruption. By championing lean principles and conducting regular safety inspections, you will promote continuous improvement, waste reduction, and a behavior‑based safety culture. You will mentor staff on quality standards, manage workflow to achieve takt time, and serve as a backup to the Production Supervisor when needed. • Lead team to achieve daily business unit goals while ensuring communication, safety, quality, and delivery. • Develop and implement training plans for new hires and existing staff. • Fill in for absent team members to maintain uninterrupted production flow. • Promote lean principles and drive continuous improvement using Lean methodology. • Conduct regular safety inspections and foster a behavior‑based safety culture. • Mentor employees on quality standards, identify errors, and maintain accurate documentation. • Manage workflow to meet takt time, resolve barriers, and ensure timely delivery. • Serve as backup to the Production Supervisor providing leadership support.

What You Bring

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with 3‑5 years of production experience preferred. Candidates must be proficient with Windows Word, Excel, Outlook, JD Edwards and internet tools, and possess expertise in the assigned production process. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to follow detailed assembly instructions and train operators on standard work. Applicants should have a clean safety and performance record, no recent corrective actions, and meet recent performance rating criteria. • High school diploma or equivalent; 3‑5 years of production experience preferred. • Proficient with Windows Word, Excel, Outlook, JD Edwards and internet applications. • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and verbal/written communication skills. • Ability to follow detailed assembly instructions and train operators on standard work. • Clean safety record with no corrective actions or performance improvement plans in the past six months.
