About the Role
• Plan and prepare geotechnical investigations or design activities that impact major company programs. • Organize, conduct, and manage geotechnical investigations for transportation and other projects. • Perform technical analyses, produce reports, and coordinate recommendations with designers. • Serve as Technical Specialist or Project Manager on local projects as needed. • Provide advisory consulting on asset management, conduct data analyses, and recommend operational changes. • Direct complex qualitative and quantitative analyses and deliver QA/QC‑checked reports and visualizations. • Contribute statistical analysis, forecasting, and benchmarking of project data. • Achieve client satisfaction while meeting project budget parameters. • Lead client meetings, manage relationships, and mentor junior staff. • Participate in marketing efforts for internal and external clients. • Supervise professionals, technicians, and design teams as required.

What You Bring
HDR is seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer / Transportation Asset Management Consultant to support our national geotechnical practice and assist clients in advancing their asset management strategies. The role offers the chance to work on impactful infrastructure projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the country. • Master’s degree in a related field. • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI. • Experience with GeoStudio/Ensoft for slope stability, settlement, seepage, and deep foundations. • Knowledge of advanced numerical modeling techniques and software (Bentley, PLAXIS, Itasca FLAC). • Experience with Bentley geotechnical data management suite (gINT, OpenGround, LeapFrog). • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline. • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. • Professional engineering license (PE or P.Eng) for the work location. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, GIS, and CAD applications.
