Construction Materials Internship (Level 1)
Assist in field testing, sampling, and documentation of construction materials on project sites.
Job Highlights
About the Role
• Observe and document field activities related to construction processes. • Sample, test, and inspect soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel. • Perform calculations, reduce test data, and draft reports. • Operate field screening equipment and record readings. • Read maps, follow directions, and interpret engineering and construction plans. • Communicate daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers. • Represent ECS as the sole site representative.

What You Bring
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field. • Demonstrated interest in building material utilization during construction. • Ability to lift 40–70 lb repeatedly and occasionally lift 85 lb to waist height. • Possess reliable transportation for job sites; mileage reimbursement provided.
