About the Role
The role involves managing construction oversight, resolving complex issues, developing and monitoring performance of OARs, reviewing project progress and change orders, assisting with bid and contract planning, assessing specifications, and providing fiscal management for multiple projects. The position provides functional direction over schedules, cost control, dispute resolution, contract administration, quality control, and coordinates program activities with various district branches such as Environmental Health and Safety, Asset Management, and Maintenance. • Oversee construction projects and OARs to ensure schedule and cost compliance. • Resolve complex construction issues, disputes, and change orders. • Develop, assign, and monitor OAR performance across multiple projects. • Review and verify payment applications and manage fiscal aspects of projects. • Coordinate program activities with district branches such as EHS, Asset Management, and Maintenance. • Develop internal policies and procedures for construction management.

What You Bring
The Tsui Group is seeking a qualified and experienced candidate in educational facility construction projects to serve as a Senior Project Manager II for a large educational client within Los Angeles County. Required experience includes a minimum of 17 years of full‑time professional project/construction management, at least 5 years managing large programs with construction values over $50 million, and 5 years of experience in educational facility, public works, or large commercial projects. Preferred experience includes design‑build, Building Information Modeling (BIM), LEED or CHPS certified projects, and familiarity with Division of the State Architect (DSA) processes. Education may be satisfied by a bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management, or by equivalent experience combined with the ability to obtain a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential within one year, or by holding a CCM credential at the time of application. • Minimum 17 years of full‑time project/construction management experience. • At least 5 years managing programs with construction values exceeding $50 million. • 5 years experience in educational facility, public works, or large commercial construction. • Preferred: design‑build experience, BIM, LEED/CHPS certification, DSA process knowledge. • Education: bachelor’s in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience with CCM credential within one year, or existing CCM certification. • Preferred licenses: California architect registration or professional engineer license.

Benefits
Preferred licenses are a valid California Architect registration or a Professional Engineer license, and the salary range is $218,000‑$223,000 with comprehensive benefits including fully covered medical, vision, and dental, life and disability insurance, vacation, sick and holiday pay, a 3% employer 401k contribution after one year, a monthly cell phone stipend, and a work laptop. • Salary $218k‑$223k with 100% medical, vision, dental coverage; life/disability insurance; vacation, sick, and holiday pay; 3% 401k match after 1 year; cell phone stipend; laptop provided.
