About the Role
The Industrial HVAC Technician role at Cushman & Wakefield involves installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC and related building systems in commercial, industrial, or institutional facilities. Core responsibilities cover troubleshooting and repairing HVAC, packaging equipment, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, and grounds equipment; cleaning and servicing pumps, valves, pneumatic and electrical devices; installing, modifying, and upgrading equipment; performing building repairs such as ceiling tiles, doors, and painting; inspecting for safety and maintenance needs; operating fire and life safety systems; performing carpentry and snow removal; responding to emergencies; using technology, and complying with codes and company standards. • Hands‑on mechanical troubleshooting of RTUs, chillers, boilers, VAV systems, and AHUs • Independent troubleshooting of complex facility issues • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks in fast‑paced environment • Respond to emergency calls, after‑hours needs, and on‑call rotations • Perform building repairs, carpentry, snow removal, and equipment servicing • Use smartphones, tablets, computers, and web‑based maintenance software • Work both indoors and outdoors, lift up to 50 lb, and use ladders and lifting equipment

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate degree is preferred. They need 3–5 years of HVAC experience, hands‑on repair and troubleshooting skills, EPA Section 608 certification (preferred), and experience with building automation and energy management systems. Knowledge of local, state, and national HVAC codes, basic plumbing and electrical work, and a valid driver’s license are also required. Key competencies include strong technical knowledge of HVAC components and controls, independent problem solving, preventive maintenance, and safety awareness (OSHA, lockout/tagout). Familiarity with BAS, EMS, CMMS platforms, effective communication, time management, teamwork, adaptability to emergencies, and basic computer skills are essential. The position works in both office and industrial/warehouse settings, indoors and outdoors, may require sole coverage during shifts, overtime, and on‑call rotations, and involves physical tasks like ladder use, lifting up to 50 lb, and year‑round outdoor work. • High school diploma or GED (associate degree or technical certification preferred) • 3–5 years HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance experience in commercial/industrial settings • EPA Section 608 certification (Type II or Universal) preferred • Experience with Building Automation Systems and Energy Management Systems • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record • Strong technical proficiency in HVAC components, controls, and diagnostics • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout, and safety PPE • Familiarity with BAS, EMS, and CMMS platforms • Effective verbal and written communication with team and vendors
