About the Role
• Perform reactive and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, including split systems, package units, AHUs and FCUs • Carry out repairs, maintenance, and installations of plant and equipment • Conduct fault finding for mechanical and electrical HVAC systems • Use BMS systems for monitoring and fault identification • Effectively communicate with customers to support other tradespeople • Complete service reports, asset condition reporting and WHS documentation

What You Bring
About the role – Ventia is seeking a qualified Refrigeration Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC and refrigeration systems across Defence facilities. About you – you have proven experience in a commercial/industrial environment, hold the required refrigeration mechanic qualification, refrigerant handling licence, restricted electrical licence, LVR and CPR, White Card, a current Australian driver’s licence and own transport. You are respectful, inclusive, eligible for a Defence Security Clearance (Australian citizen) and committed to high‑quality, safe work. • Proven experience in a commercial/industrial environment • Current Refrigeration Mechanic trade qualification and Refrigerant Handling License (RAC) • Current restricted electrical licence • Current LVR and CPR (1‑year validity) • Current White Card • Current Australian driver’s licence and own transport • Eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance (Australian citizen, willing to undergo AFP check)
