About the Role
The Senior Facilities Electrical Engineer partners with the Senior Manager for Facilities and Maintenance to achieve department objectives, overseeing electrical systems across the campus. This role is responsible for ensuring reliable electrical infrastructure for the facility. The role plans, coordinates, and supervises installation and maintenance of power distribution, lighting, HVAC controls, fire alarm, and backup power systems. It includes preventive maintenance, fixed electrical testing, infrared testing, and reactive maintenance on high‑voltage and low‑voltage systems. Responsibilities include managing capital projects for electrical upgrades, energy‑efficiency initiatives, troubleshooting complex issues, performing load calculations, short‑circuit analysis, and arc‑flash assessments. The engineer also ensures compliance with local, state, and federal electrical codes and standards such as NEC, NFPA, and OSHA. The engineer develops preventive‑maintenance plans, leads energy‑management programs, coordinates with vendors, contractors, and utility companies, oversees service‑provider contracts and performance, and maintains accurate documentation such as one‑line diagrams and panel schedules. These activities support continuous improvement of maintenance systems and processes. Additional duties cover technical support for maintenance and operations, participation in safety programs and risk assessments, and acting as Responsible Person for specified activities. The role also delivers electrical training, conducts site inspections, manages campus PV, EV, and micro‑grid systems, and maintains a critical spares inventory. • Partner with Sr. Manager for Facilities and Maintenance to achieve department goals. • Plan, coordinate, and oversee installation and maintenance of power distribution, lighting, HVAC controls, fire alarm, and backup power systems. • Conduct preventive maintenance, fixed electrical testing, infrared testing, and reactive maintenance on HV and LV systems. • Manage capital projects for electrical upgrades, expansions, and energy‑efficiency initiatives. • Perform load calculations, short‑circuit analysis, arc‑flash assessments, and system capacity planning. • Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and other applicable electrical codes and standards. • Develop and maintain preventive‑maintenance plans and critical spares inventory. • Lead energy‑management and sustainability programs, including campus PV, EV, and micro‑grid operations. • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, utility companies, and oversee service‑provider contracts and performance. • Provide technical support and training to maintenance and operations teams. • Conduct site inspections, safety risk assessments, and act as Responsible Person for designated activities.

What You Bring
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and at least three years of experience in industrial or manufacturing facilities. Preferred qualifications include Professional Engineer licensure, Certified Energy Manager certification, OSHA 30‑hour certification, and proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, or SKM Power Tools. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with ≥3 years industrial experience; preferred PE, CEM, OSHA 30‑hour, and proficiency in AutoCAD/ETAP/SKM.

Work is performed in office and manufacturing environments on a standard Monday‑Friday schedule, with occasional overtime, weekend or on‑call support.
