About the Role
The Server will contribute to a great member and guest dining experience by providing excellent customer service, a robust understanding of the menu, and attention to detail. You will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for members and fellow employees. Provide exceptional service and communication with members, guests, and team members across dining areas such as The Family Barn and The Ridge House. Greet guests promptly, anticipate needs, and present extensive knowledge of menu items, cocktails, wine, and beverages, making personalized recommendations. Accurately enter transactions into the POS system, issue checks, and close sales according to policy. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards while completing opening and closing duties. Conduct inventory, report maintenance issues, and ensure compliance with all government, safety, health, and security standards. • Provide exceptional service and communication with members, guests, and team members across all dining areas. • Greet guests promptly, anticipate needs, and respond quickly to requests. • Accurately process orders and transactions in the POS system, issue checks, and close sales per policy. • Ensure food safety by monitoring allergies, confirming order accuracy, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas. • Perform daily opening and closing duties, including stocking, inventory, and adherence to SOPs. • Report maintenance or safety issues and maintain equipment in proper condition. • Uphold all government, safety, health, and security standards within the department. • Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and handle long or busy periods.

What You Bring
The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of serving experience in a full‑service, fast‑paced, high‑end environment. Knowledge of local food safety standards and the ability to obtain a State Food Safety Certificate are required. A robust knowledge of wines and beverages and extraordinary attention to detail are essential. A positive attitude, professional demeanor, and strong communication skills are needed to serve members, guests, and team members. Flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is required, and the role may involve long hours. Ability to work in a team, stay calm during busy periods, and meet physical demands such as standing for over eight hours and lifting up to 50 pounds is essential. • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of menu items, ingredients, specials, cocktails, wine, beer, and beverages, offering personalized recommendations. • Possess a high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least one year of full‑service, high‑end serving experience. • Hold knowledge of local food safety standards and obtain a State Food Safety Certificate. • Exhibit robust wine and beverage knowledge and extraordinary attention to detail. • Maintain a positive attitude, professional demeanor, and strong interpersonal communication skills. • Meet physical demands such as standing for 8+ hours and lifting up to 50 lb.
