About the Role

Key duties include interpreting client contracts, reviewing project setup documents and budgets for alignment with guidelines, entering and maintaining project data in the accounting system, processing subconsultant invoices, preparing monthly invoice packets, posting invoices to accounts receivable, conducting work‑in‑process and closeout analyses, supporting audits, mentoring staff, and partnering with IT to improve system functionality and invoice formats. • Interpret client contracts for accurate project setup and compliance. • Review project budgets and documents to ensure alignment with guidelines. • Enter and maintain project data, budgets, WBS, and billing details in the accounting system. • Process subconsultant invoices and coordinate payment releases. • Prepare and issue monthly draft and final invoice packets for clients. • Post final invoices to accounts receivable, make adjustments, and archive records. • Conduct work‑in‑process and project closeout analyses, supporting audits. • Train and mentor junior project accounting staff. • Collaborate with IT to test and improve accounting system functionality and invoice formats. • Research and test new software implementations for the department.
