About the Role
In this role you will lead the conceptual to detailed design of water dams, retarding basins, and service basins, conduct inspections and condition assessments of existing dams, and review monitoring data. You will perform safety reviews with multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships and multiple projects of varying scale, and mentor junior engineers to develop their skills. • Design water dams, retarding basins, and service basins from concept to detailed design. • Inspect, investigate, and assess conditions of existing dams, reviewing monitoring data. • Conduct safety reviews with multidisciplinary teams. • Liaise with clients and manage multiple projects of varying scale. • Mentor junior engineers. • Prepare design reports, drawings, and specifications.

The practice is ranked number one globally for Dams and Engineering (ENR) and offers the chance to work on nation‑defining dam projects alongside specialist experts worldwide. Candidates can be based in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Newcastle, Melbourne, Sydney, or Perth, and full relocation and visa support are provided for suitable worldwide applicants. The ideal candidate has experience in dams or reservoir engineering and design, holds relevant tertiary qualifications, and ideally is CPEng‑registered. Demonstrated capability in producing design reports, drawings, and specifications, along with excellent report writing and verbal communication skills, is essential. A positive attitude, seeing challenges as opportunities to innovate, collaborate, and grow, is highly valued. • Possess experience in dams or reservoir engineering and design. • Hold relevant tertiary qualifications and CPEng registration (highly regarded). • Demonstrate strong report writing and verbal communication skills.
