Industrial Maintenance Technician 2nd & 3rd Shifts Available
Maintain and repair plant equipment on 2nd/3rd shift at WM facilities.

About the Role
As a Plant Maintenance Technician you will keep the plant operating at peak performance by maintaining equipment such as balers, conveyor belts, gearboxes, motors, pulleys, shafts, and bearings. When systems fail, you will quickly diagnose and repair issues to restore safe and efficient operation. You will report to the Plant Maintenance Manager and help drive overall plant success. The role requires you to perform preventive maintenance, respond to emergency breakdowns, manage multiple priorities, and maintain a clean, OSHA‑compliant work area. You will also inspect third‑party repairs, recommend equipment improvements, and work with limited supervision while adhering to Waste Management safety rules. • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and repair major equipment such as balers, conveyors, and motors • Maintain the Daily Equipment Inspections (DEI) backlog • Adjust work procedures to meet production schedules and report any delays • Inspect the quality of third‑party repairs and rebuilds • Recommend improvements to boost production, equipment performance, and product quality • Respond to emergency breakdown service calls promptly • Perform work with limited supervision while upholding high performance standards • Keep the work area clean and compliant with Corporate/OSHA safety standards • Follow Waste Management Safety, Life Critical Rules, and OSHA requirements during repairs • Lift objects over 50 lb, push, pull, and bend as needed • Work from ladders or raised platforms • Stand or work on concrete floors for most of the shift

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least two years of relevant experience, be at least 18 years old, and be legally authorized to work in the United States. Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations, and successful completion of a pre‑employment drug screen and physical are required. We look for team players who care about their coworkers, enjoy both independent and collaborative work, appreciate daily variety, and are determined problem solvers. The job involves extensive motor coordination, lifting objects over 50 lb, working from ladders or raised platforms, and standing on concrete floors for most of the shift.
