About the Role
Support the corporation with respect to its legal and business operations, including reviewing contracts, providing general legal advice, administering claims, and handling other legal matters as assigned by the Assistant General Counsel. • Review contracts, advise personnel, and participate in negotiations. • Provide business‑focused legal advice on contract risks and risk‑management strategies. • Counsel on construction law, compliance, employment, labor relations, and liens. • Conduct complex legal research, investigate claims, and deliver oral and written recommendations. • Coordinate with in‑house and outside counsel on dispute strategies, budgets, and manage dispute resolution. • Advise on construction defect and payment disputes and negotiate resolutions with owners, subcontractors, and suppliers. • Collaborate with internal teams to meet their legal needs. • Lead training for company personnel. • Exercise independent judgment within areas of responsibility. • Occasionally stoop, kneel, or bend. • Must comply with all safety standards and procedures. • Frequently use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry, or feel objects. • Occasionally lift, push, or pull objects. • Sit, stand, or walk short distances for the duration of a shift.

What You Bring
• Juris Doctorate from an ABA‑approved institution. • Licensed and in good standing in any U.S. jurisdiction (Arizona preferred or ability to be admitted within six months). • 5–8 years of experience practicing as an attorney in a law firm or corporate legal department. • Required experience in construction law. • Excellent communication skills. • Ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal oversight. • Ability to travel as needed. • Proficient with all Microsoft Office Suite programs. • Demonstrated understanding of responsible AI tool use in legal practice, including contract review, summarization, and drafting. • Frequent interaction with people and technology throughout the workday. • Frequent use of telephone, computer, email, and other electronic devices for communication.
