About the Role

The intern will provide daily IT support while shadowing IT Analysts, collaborate with local and regional IT teams to deliver support services for a national consulting engineering firm, and prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve problems for internal clients. What You Bring

Kimley-Horn is looking for an Information Technology (IT) Intern in its Tallahassee, Florida office. This position is onsite and not remote. Candidates should be pursuing a bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related field, have previous customer service experience, and understand Windows 10 to configure and troubleshoot PC issues. Knowledge of Windows Server 2016, the ability to install and support enterprise applications, install printers/copiers/plotters, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required, along with a high aptitude for learning new technologies and efficiently solving problems while explaining solutions. Preferred qualifications include experience with CAD or engineering applications, MCP, A+, Network+, or Cisco CCNA certification, mobile device configuration (iPads, smartphones), and familiarity with Windows 10, Office 365, Teams, OneDrive for Business, Exchange 365, Windows Server 2016, Active Directory, and networking fundamentals. • Demonstrate passion for technology, business mindset, and customer‑service attitude • Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others • Pursuing a B.S. in Information Systems or related field • Previous customer service experience • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • High aptitude and willingness to learn new technologies • Efficiently solve problems and explain solutions • Experience with CAD/Engineering applications • MCP, A+, Network+, or Cisco CCNA certification (plus) • Knowledge of Office 365, Teams, OneDrive for Business, Exchange 365, Active Directory, and networking fundamentals
