About the Role
• Drive growth and client goals in the US Federal Client Sector Plan, primarily focusing on the Eastern US • Lead business development, client engagement, client service management, and strategic marketing • Develop and maintain high‑value relationships with Federal clients • Grow market share by partnering with large and small business partners for Federal captures • Implement short‑ and long‑term strategies that contribute to growth and profitability • Participate in professional and industrial organizations to promote the GHD brand • Develop new project opportunities and promote technical service diversification with existing clients • Expand and maintain the current client base in line with regional or sector plans • Set up and lead initial meetings and presentations for potential and current clients • Ensure the opportunity pipeline is accurate and up‑to‑date • Conduct Go/No‑Go reviews, critically reviewing and approving key proposals while enforcing signing authorities • Represent and promote GHD at networking events, industry associations, conferences, and trade shows • Communicate regularly with market and key client leaders and regions • Attract strategic hires across all markets to develop the overall business • Achieve effective pricing strategies to maximize profit within revenue growth objectives • Collaborate with Legal to review terms and conditions on non‑standard risk engagements • Monitor client activity across sectors and recommend ways to increase client penetration • Lead, support, and monitor strategic pursuits in the Federal sector • Develop goals and actions aligned with market, client sector, business group, and regional plans

What You Bring
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Federal Business Development Leader – US Navy Western US. In this role you will develop and implement business development plans, capture management, and sales to the US Federal Government for the US Navy. The position can be based out of any GHD location within the US or remote. • Adapt well to a highly collaborative work environment • 15+ years of experience in client development/account management with the US Federal Government • BS or BA in science, engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus • Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) license is a plus • Excellent written and oral communication, team‑building, organizational, and presentation skills • Willingness and ability to travel to client offices as needed
