About the Role

The Project Manager role oversees planning, directing, and coordinating designated projects to meet schedule and budget objectives, leveraging superintendents and project coordinators while maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships. • Review project proposals, plans, and specifications to define timeline, budget, procedures, staffing, and resource allocation. • Establish work plans, schedules, and staffing for each project phase, recruiting or assigning personnel as needed. • Read and interpret drawings and specifications. • Build and maintain a network of business associates, subcontractors, and vendors. • Outline work plans and assign duties, responsibilities, and authority with project staff. • Coordinate activities to keep projects on budget and provide technical advice to resolve issues. • Negotiate with owners and subcontractors to ensure efficient project execution. • Manage project billing and collaborate with Finance for smooth processes. • Prepare project reports for management and clients, adjust schedules or plans as required. • Coordinate activities with governmental regulatory agencies. • Work with Project Superintendents, Project Assistants, clients, and subcontractors. • Supervise Project Assistant(s), including planning, assigning work, providing feedback, and performance appraisal. • Assist in proposal writing and review project documents for timeline, budget, procedures, and staffing. • Mentor and develop internal talent. • Establish and maintain relationships with owners and project partners. • Contribute to strategic planning and lead business development and client relations. • Support Safety Department in enforcing corporate safety and health policies. • Stand or sit in a stationary position for extended periods (50%+). • Navigate office building floors and attend off‑site meetings as needed.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree, bring at least seven years of relevant experience—particularly in K‑12 education construction—and demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office and project‑management software. The position requires excellent communication, the ability to work under pressure, strong time‑management skills, and a commitment to company policies, safety standards, and a positive team culture. The role may involve 25‑75 % travel, requires a valid driver’s license, and includes physical demands such as extended periods of standing or sitting, computer use, and lifting up to 25 lb. • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. • Minimum 7 years of related experience, including K‑12 education construction projects. • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and project management software. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and provide exemplary customer service. • Strong time management and efficiency to meet challenging goals. • Compliance with company policies and procedures. • Exceptional work ethic and adherence to company values and conduct standards. • Confidence in self and others; receptive to feedback and able to give feedback. • Ability to inspire and motivate self and team. • Problem identification and resolution with continuous improvement mindset. • Knowledge of ViewPoint software. • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory motor vehicle record and compliance with KA motor vehicle policy. • Travel 25‑75 % depending on job requirements. • Clearly communicate information (written and verbal) to colleagues and stakeholders. • Use computer/laptop/iPad in an open office with natural or fluorescent lighting. • Lift up to 25 lb unassisted.
