About the Role

The Purchasing Agent drives procurement of direct and indirect materials to support service delivery while adhering to CoolSys’s quality‑managed purchasing policies. Core duties involve creating purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, maintaining accurate records, monitoring deliveries, resolving pricing or invoice discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with customer contracts. The role also focuses on building strong supplier relationships and continuous process improvement. • Place purchase orders through the department’s system in line with company policies. • Build and maintain rapport with suppliers, service managers and technicians in the assigned region. • Communicate quotes, bids and purchase status to field employees and customers. • Resolve pricing and invoice issues promptly while adhering to financial controls. • Review requisitions, create and track purchase orders, and verify vendor compliance. • Negotiate supplier quotes, manage RMAs, and monitor on‑time delivery metrics. • Maintain purchasing reports, cost lists and update third‑party systems per contract guidelines. • Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives to increase procurement efficiency.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance or possess at least ten years of sourcing experience, along with a minimum of five years in service‑industry or high‑rate production procurement. Required skills include advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, strong analytical and communication abilities, detail‑orientation, and the capacity to work independently or within a team. Knowledge of refrigeration product purchasing policies and excellent customer‑service aptitude are essential.
