About the Role

As the on‑site construction manager, the superintendent is responsible for ensuring safe work that meets plans, specifications, and local building codes, solving constructability issues daily, and maintaining quality control throughout the project lifecycle. They partner with the project manager on schedule development in MS Project and contribute to pre‑construction estimating, while managing documentation such as plans, specifications, and as‑builts. The role also includes managing subcontractors, field crews, and supplier relationships, overseeing material deliveries, and maintaining site security. Daily walk‑throughs and job logs capture personnel, inspections, hazards, weather, and near‑misses, and the superintendent represents Dowbuilt professionally with clients, architects, owners, and neighborhood representatives. • Ensure safe work that complies with plans, specifications, and local codes • Solve constructability issues daily • Perform onsite quality control throughout the project • Partner with the project manager to develop and manage schedules in MS Project and aid preconstruction estimating • Maintain plans, specifications, as‑builts, and related documentation • Manage subcontractors, including scheduling, performance evaluation, safety compliance, and submittal review • Lead the field crew and foster professional supplier relationships • Conduct daily walk‑throughs and log personnel, inspections, hazards, weather, and incidents • Represent Dowbuilt professionally with clients, architects, owners, and community stakeholders • Coordinate material deliveries, handling, storage, and placement with foremen • Train and evaluate field crew performance • Secure the job site to protect people, tools, and materials • Collaborate directly with architects and designers to resolve design and constructability challenges • Read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications • Maintain U.S. work authorization

What You Bring

Successful candidates will have 15 years of superintendent experience, including five years in high‑end custom residential, a degree or equivalent experience, and strong skills in reading architectural drawings, journeyman‑level carpentry, and communication. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project, and preferably Procore, along with U.S. work authorization, are required. • Bring 15 years of superintendent experience, including 5 years in high‑end custom residential • Hold a Construction Management degree or equivalent professional experience • Possess journeyman‑level carpentry skills • Exhibit strong communication, team‑building, and mentoring abilities • Have deep technical knowledge of traditional and innovative building materials and methods • Be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project; Procore proficiency preferred • Experience with Sage 300 CRE is a plus
