Inspect highway/bridge construction sites for compliance, record quantities, and prepare reports

About the Role
• Perform daily site inspections for highway and/or bridge construction projects to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, and codes • Prepare daily reports • Review the Contractor's schedule • Review and provide input on potential change order issues • Review and approve Contractor's pay estimates • Maintain project records

What You Bring
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering technology, or related technical field • Valid driver's license • WVDOH Materials Certifications in Soil & Aggregate Compaction, Portland Cement Concrete and Asphalt Field • Compaction • Five (5) years of technical experience directly related to the highway construction industry • NICET Level II or higher certification • Basic computer skills • Associate's degree in civil engineering technology, or related technical field • WVTRET Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months (Level II • IV) • Ability to obtain WVTRET Certification within six (6) months of hire • Previous construction inspection experience on WVDOH projects • High School Diploma, or equivalent
