About the Role

As an Electrical Testing Technician, you are responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of electrical power systems and related equipment within a laboratory testing environment. This role focuses on detailed analytical tasks and testing of protective relaying equipment, electrical panels, and other electrical devices and equipment installed in an equipment enclosure. • Verify proper component installation and connections according to electrical drawings. • Perform continuity checks of panels and equipment using an ohm meter and wiring diagrams, troubleshooting as needed. • Conduct megger testing or other customer‑required validations. • Use testing equipment and power supplies to energize basic electrical devices, protecting against improper wiring or design. • Execute final quality and torque processes to ensure product completion and integrity. • Assist engineering in correcting wiring diagrams and schematics to meet customer design requirements. • Work safely around energized electrical equipment, following all safety protocols and standards.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent required. • Prefer three years of experience in panel or enclosure wiring. • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. • Familiarity with using a multimeter for power and continuity testing. • Basic troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively. • Good written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work accurately under short deadlines. • Basic experience with Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, and Excel.
