About the Role
A Driver – CDL (A) safely operates heavy commercial trucks, such as tractor‑trailers or straight trucks with pup trailers, to deliver and remove large containers. The driver ensures vehicle compliance with safety standards, adheres to all company, state and federal regulations, and completes daily vehicle condition reports to address any defects promptly. The role includes conducting thorough pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, operating manual or automatic controls to lift, load, compact, and dispose of waste, and maintaining clean and safe conditions around spills. Drivers interact courteously with customers and dispatchers, perform minor container repairs, tag unsatisfactory containers, and continuously monitor both waste and vehicle condition to minimize downtime. • Perform complete pre‑ and post‑operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order; report safety issues on standard reports. • Safely operate heavy truck along designated route and to the disposal site; read route sheet, follow map, and service each customer as assigned. • Operate manual or automatic controls to lift, load, compact, and dispose of waste at the designated facility in accordance with safety policies. • Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers, and others daily to ensure timely and professional service of all routes. • Perform minor repairs to containers on site or in the container yard. • Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag them according to departmental procedures. • Continuously monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable material. • Clean areas around accidental waste spills, adhering to all applicable safety standards and policies. • Continuously monitor vehicle condition to ensure operational readiness and minimize downtime; clean waste from containers on each trip. • Complete required route/productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports (VCRs), and other mandated reports. • Maintain adherence to productivity standards to ensure timely and efficient customer service. • Follow all required safety policies and procedures. • Actively participate in the Company’s ReSOP program. • Provide good customer service to meet and exceed expectations, acting professionally, courteously, and honestly. • Adhere to Company policies and rules, promote safety standards, and avoid inappropriate risks.

What You Bring
Candidates should demonstrate strong customer service, time‑management, and follow‑through abilities, while upholding company policies and safety standards. Mechanical aptitude for minor container repairs and at least two years of commercial truck experience are preferred. A valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with air‑brake endorsement is required for this position. • Demonstrate strong time‑management skills to complete responsibilities efficiently and safely. • Exhibit good follow‑through ability, adhering to work schedules and addressing challenges as they arise. • Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks preferred. • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude to perform minor repairs to containers. • Class A Commercial Driver’s license with air‑brake endorsement.
