About the Role

You will lead on‑site technical activities for control‑system installations, start‑ups and commissioning at remote oilfield, power‑generation and industrial facilities, ensuring all work complies with Baker Hughes’ quality, health, safety and environmental standards. • Provide on‑site technical direction for control‑system installation, loop checks, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance. • Supervise positioning and wiring of control panels (UCP, DCP, battery, GCPP, MCC, etc.) including electrical, pneumatic and primary hookups performed by clients or subcontractors. • Verify control sequencing of auxiliary systems for turbines such as lube oil, hydraulic, fire & gas detection, ventilation, compressors, fuel valves and anti‑surge systems. • Lead installation, maintenance and commissioning activities while adhering to schedule targets, quality, HSE rules and conducting daily HSE toolbox talks. • Utilize problem‑solving skills, engineering drawings and process instructions to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on gas turbine products. • Prepare job‑planning documents, daily outage and weekly installation reports, and accurate technical reports for customer records. • Provide leadership and technical direction to skilled labor on‑site, maintaining safety and compliance with Baker Hughes and customer standards. • Ensure application of site quality checklists, job cards, field procedures, marked‑up drawings and resolution of non‑conformities using Baker Hughes e‑tools. • Maintain compliance with local legislation and site safety manuals. • Work for a global leader in energy technology operating in over 120 countries.

What You Bring

The role requires extensive travel – at least 70 % of the time – and may include offshore assignments without geographic restriction. A strong engineering background, ten years of field experience in oil & gas or energy, and fluency in English are essential. Technical expertise with heavy‑duty gas turbines, GE Speedtronic Mark Vie panels, PLCs and DLN systems is required. • Hold an engineering degree with at least 10 years of relevant field experience in oil & gas or energy. • Demonstrate strong knowledge of rotating equipment installation, commissioning and maintenance, especially heavy‑duty gas turbines (Frames 5/2, 6B, 7E, 9E) and their auxiliaries. • Proficient with GE Speedtronic Mark Vie turbine control panels, PLC control panels and DLN (Dry Low NOx) systems. • Fluent in spoken and written English for reporting and stakeholder communication. • Exhibit strong customer‑service orientation, analytical and quality‑improvement abilities, and the capacity to work independently. • Possess excellent interpersonal, leadership and HSE mindset; able to travel ≥70% of the time, including offshore assignments.
