About the Role

The position involves primarily field work (about 90%) and some office tasks (10%). Field duties may expose the employee to various weather conditions, temperatures, pollutants, chemicals, insects, and water‑borne pathogens, requiring appropriate protective clothing and gear. • Build on field experience to contribute to team and client benefit. • Uphold firm’s values and standards for project delivery and client management. • Follow direction and supervision of the Project Engineer. • Review pay requests, submittals, field tests, and other contract documents. • Conduct on‑site observations to ensure contractor work aligns with contract documents. • Apply general survey drafting and construction drawing standards. • Apply technical skills to routine projects with minimal supervision. • Visit construction sites to verify conformance to engineering plans and specifications. • Execute cross‑discipline checks and coordination (QN QC). • Report risk management issues to Senior Designer as appropriate. • Assist in learning client needs and attend construction progress meetings. • Communicate with clients under direction of the Project Engineer. • Recognize ethical obligations to clients and public welfare. • Serve as engineer’s liaison with contractors. • Coordinate work with engineers, surveyors, technicians, environmental personnel, code officials, and construction crews. • Represent the firm to prospective employees, clients, and community stakeholders. • Reinforce GMC standards and Core Values. • Produce clear daily reports and records per company procedures. • Respond to inquiries from contractors, surveyors, field personnel, code officials, and regulatory agencies. • Participate in individual development planning. • Engage in community service activities. • Perform work primarily in the field (90%) and office (10%) with exposure to various conditions; wear appropriate protective gear. • Travel to work sites using company or rental vehicles.

What You Bring

Travel to multiple work sites is required, and company‑provided cars or rental vehicles will be used for transportation between locations. The minimum qualifications are a high school diploma and at least two years of relevant experience.
