About the Role
The Industrial Electrical Foreman leads a crew responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical wiring, conduit, equipment, and fixtures, including underground cable and conduit work and equipment installation. Reporting to management, the foreman oversees a variable crew of 5 to 15 journeymen and helpers, ensuring daily operations run safely and efficiently. • Read blueprints and specifications to determine scope, materials, and tools. • Identify safety risks and implement required precautions. • Lead crew in daily safe operations and manage workloads, supplies, equipment, and reporting. • Cut, bend, and install conduit and fabricate cable trays according to specifications. • Pull cable through designated pathways and terminate wires to equipment such as breakers, control panels, and distribution systems. • Test electrical components for continuity and correct voltage readings. • Inspect equipment and components for hazards and operational condition. • Set up and maintain temporary power and grounding systems. • Hoist equipment and tools using bull rigging or crane. • Ensure compliance with lock‑out/tag‑out procedures and safety regulations. • Maintain records of time, cost codes, equipment, personnel, and operational updates. • Use specialized tools such as ohm meters, multimeters, and terminating devices. • Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and identify cable types, gauges, and colors.

What You Bring
The position demands extensive industrial electrical experience, proven supervisory skills, the ability to work at heights over 300 ft, and reliable transportation to reach job sites. Physical duties include standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lb, and working in all weather conditions while wearing required PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators, hi‑vis vests, gloves, and steel‑toed boots. • Apply knowledge of high‑voltage systems, electrical theory, and mechanical/electrical components of new‑construction plants. • Require 4+ years as an Industrial Electrician and 2+ years in a supervisory role. • Must possess reliable transportation and ability to work at heights exceeding 300 ft. • Hold NCCER Electrician certification and a TDLR license. • Preferred: current Zachry employee, licensed journeyman electrician, NCCER Industrial Journeyman certification, and formal technical education.
