CAD Design Intern (Transportation) - Summer 206

About the Role

Interns will use MicroStation to produce engineering drawings—including standard arrangements, layouts, details, and isometrics—based on rough sketches or existing design information. They will work closely with other designers, detailers, and engineers to ensure coordinated designs, apply drafting principles, and comply with company policies, state bridge design manuals, and applicable codes. • Create engineering drawings with MicroStation, including arrangements, layouts, details, and isometrics. • Collaborate with designers, detailers, and engineers to coordinate design efforts. • Apply standard drafting principles and ensure compliance with company policies and state bridge design manuals. • Verify that designs meet required safety factors, tolerances, and specifications. • Compile data and perform dimensional calculations needed for drawing preparation. • Incorporate changes, additions, or revisions to drawings as directed by the supervisor.
