About the Role
As a Process Scientist you will act as a technical expert supporting wastewater, sludge treatment and waste management operations. You will work closely with Field Performance Managers, Area Operational Managers and the Pollution Team to anticipate and mitigate compliance risks, investigate pollution incidents and drive capital investment to improve performance. • Provide technical advice on wastewater treatment processes, including site operating plans and compliance monitoring. • Investigate pollution incidents and liaise with the Environment Agency. • Analyse wastewater data trends to identify early warning signs of compliance risks. • Conduct root cause analyses and site investigations following breaches or audits. • Support capital schemes and ensure compliance during contractor works. • Recommend operational improvements and contribute to innovation initiatives. • Apply strong analytical and investigative skills to manage compliance and pollution risks. • Produce clear reports and communicate technical requirements to internal stakeholders. • Participate in standby rota as required.

What You Bring
The Process Scientist – Wastewater Compliance position is based in Falmer, covering West Sussex. It is a permanent role with a salary up to £40,000 per annum and requires a clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. • Proficiently use MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint for documentation and presentations.
