About the Role

As a Machine Operator, you will maximize efficiency by setting up and operating various automatic machines to manufacture new or revised parts. Work is performed in accordance with product specifications, quality standards, and documented procedures. The role requires vigilant monitoring of machine performance and adherence to tolerances to ensure consistent, high‑quality output. • Operates equipment to produce machined parts according to blueprints, router package specifications and/or special instructions. • Starts and monitors machine operation to detect malfunctions or out‑of‑tolerance machining, adjusting controls as needed. • Verifies conformance of finished work‑piece to specifications. • Inspects parts for quality and appropriate tolerance using micrometers, calipers, and comparators. • Records piece count and run time of production runs. • Checks parts for conformance to specifications using micrometers, calipers and gauges and performs SPC.

Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED and possess 0–3 years of related industrial machine‑shop experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The position emphasizes practical, hands‑on skill development within a fast‑paced production setting. • Understands and uses drawings, manuals, and work instructions to determine dimensions, tolerances, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. • Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly.
