What You Bring
Applicants must self‑identify as female, be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Nova Scotia, and be enrolled in programs such as Power Engineering, Power Line Technician, Instrumentation Technology, Engineering, Technology or Innovation. Selection is based on demonstrated leadership, involvement with the Mi’kmaw community, extracurricular participation, an essay, and academic standing. • Open to female Canadian citizens or Nova Scotia permanent residents enrolled in Trades, Engineering or Technology programs. • Eligibility to re‑apply for up to four years while enrolled. • Selection based on leadership, Mi’kmaw community involvement, extracurricular activities, essay and academic standing. • Application must include resume, transcript, structured question responses and budget template.

Benefits
The Women in Trades, Engineering and Technology Scholarship offers six non‑renewable awards of $2,500 each to female students entering any year of a full‑time post‑secondary program in trades, engineering or technology. Recipients may have the opportunity to complete an internship with Nova Scotia Power, and past awardees can re‑apply for up to four years while remaining enrolled. • $2,500 non‑renewable award (six available). • Potential internship opportunity with Nova Scotia Power.
