About the Role

This role is responsible for onboarding, developing, coaching, mentoring, and performance management of all drivers and helpers, establishing and maintaining positive relationships with front‑line employees, and spending the majority of the day in the field. • Provide tools, instruction, and feedback to new frontline employees for successful daily duties. • Conduct daily meetings with new frontline employees to ensure consistent communication and onboarding support. • Maintain timely, consistent touchpoints with frontline employees. • Review best practices regularly to enhance daily performance. • Support frontline employees’ career‑goal development and progress. • Identify improvement opportunities and collaborate with employees to ensure continued success. • Practice and solicit feedback on coaching conversations. • Lead by example to promote safety practices and teach the "WM Way." • Conduct root‑cause investigations for injuries and incidents, applying discipline and retraining as needed. • Document and maintain records required by regulatory agencies such as the DOT. • Review and audit daily route operation documentation (DVIRs, time and attendance, open tickets) and follow up appropriately. • Visit customers and sites to evaluate and resolve safety issues and explore service alternatives.
