About the Role

• Prepare airfield pavement designs. • Analyse geotechnical and soil investigation information and request necessary tests. • Undertake geometric and grading design of runways, taxiways, aprons, service roads, etc. • Design storm water drainage and water management systems for airports. • Oversee production of Civil 3D designs and 3D models for airfield projects. • Coordinate design across multiple disciplines, including pavement and structural engineering. • Prepare specifications for civil works. • Develop feasible, logical, and efficient work‑phasing proposals for construction. • Conduct civil works design and design reviews at all stages. • Support engagement and management of sub‑consultants. • Assist in preparation of tender documentation and client procurement support for airfield civil works. • Contribute to methodologies, design proposals, and resource estimates for bid preparation. • Travel frequently to UK and international sites and MM UK offices, especially Croydon. • Undertake line‑management duties. • Lead on‑site visits to UK and overseas airfields, monitor construction, and report progress. • Provide leadership and mentorship to senior and airfield engineers on airport design projects worldwide.

What You Bring

We are seeking experienced Airfield Engineers to join our expanding Aviation Team and meet growing demand in the UK and internationally. The role involves designing airfield pavements, geometric layouts, drainage systems and coordinating multidisciplinary design work, while supporting tender preparation and sub‑consultant management. • Experience in airfield engineering design or management with strong 2D/3D CAD skills. • Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages desirable. • Membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers (or similar) and chartered engineer status (or working towards it). • Experience in bid and client account management is advantageous. • Willingness to travel within the UK and to selected international locations.
