About the Role

The manager will develop and lead a technically strong Service SCM team to support PGSV operations, and will source, negotiate and manage suppliers for installation, retrofit, upgrades, testing, commissioning and digital services across Hitachi Energy products. They will establish and manage inter‑Hitachi Energy company agreements for service contracting and spare‑parts procurement, and extend existing BU vendor agreements to PGSV through novation, renegotiation or extensions. A global Service SCM strategy will be defined and implemented in line with Service GPG objectives, supporting lifecycle services, service products, solutions and Installed Base penetration goals. SCM delivery will be directed to exceed targets on order intake, gross margin, response time and customer satisfaction, while providing accurate costing and commercial support to Service Sales and participating in major service contract negotiations. The role will develop sourcing strategies focused on cost optimisation, quality, delivery reliability, sustainability and total cost of ownership, negotiate contracts and SLAs, and drive cost‑reduction, risk‑mitigation and compliance initiatives. What You Bring

The SCM Manager, PGSV, based in Bengaluru, will deliver the BU PGSV (Grid Connections) to the Local Service Business Unit at Hitachi Energy India Limited. This role is responsible for end‑to‑end supply chain management, coordinating sourcing, negotiation, contracting and the establishment of service partners to provide a unified Hitachi Energy service to customers. The ideal candidate has a strong background in OEMs, especially substation equipment, transformers, high‑voltage equipment, relays and automation products, preferably within the electrical installations/energy sector, and possesses solid HSE, quality and integrity knowledge. Knowledge of Hitachi Energy products is an added advantage. The successful candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and brings at least five years of SCM and operations experience, preferably within Hitachi Energy or the broader energy sector. Strong collaborative, non‑silo working, analytical and strategic thinking abilities, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills, are required. Proficiency in spoken and written English and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment are essential. • Hold a bachelor's degree and 5+ years of SCM/Operations experience, preferably in the energy sector. • Demonstrate strong collaborative, analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills. • Proficient in spoken and written English; able to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
