About the Role
The position prepares the site for daily work and performs all housekeeping and duties necessary for daily construction activities. The role includes operating equipment such as jackhammers, drills, and concrete pumps, handling and finishing concrete, building and dismantling forms, and managing material flow on the job site while maintaining safety and cleanliness. • Operate jackhammers and drills to break up concrete or pavement. • Position, join, align, and seal structural components such as wall sections and pipes. • Shovel cement into mixers, mix, pour, and spread concrete. • Signal equipment operators to align, move, and adjust machinery and materials. • Tend machines that pump concrete, grout, and sand. • Operate pumps, compressors, and generators to power tools and move materials. • Lubricate, clean, and repair machinery, equipment, and tools. • Operate, read, and maintain air monitoring and sampling devices in confined or hazardous environments. • Build, position, and dismantle forms for concrete using saws, hammers, nails, or bolts. • Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards and follow waste handling guidelines. • Control traffic near, in, and around work zones. • Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications. • Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, and other temporary structures. • Load, unload, identify, and distribute building materials, machinery, and tools according to project plans. • Act as a watch during welding or metal‑cutting operations performed by craft workers. • Read and interpret plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work activities. • Expedite materials and equipment to work locations and set up work sites. • Complete records, maintain tools and equipment, and perform janitorial activities. • Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, including wearing required personal protective equipment. • Plan work and select proper tools. • Compare and identify differences in size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects. • Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings. • Make decisions based on measurable criteria.

What You Bring
Candidates should have at least a high school diploma or equivalent, relevant experience, the ability to read and interpret plans, and the capacity to work under immediate supervision without requiring independent judgment. Physical requirements involve standing, walking, lifting and carrying up to 50 lb, operating at heights, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling tools with frequent to constant effort. • Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete using floats, trowels, screeds, or powered tools.
