About the Role
The laborer/Fire Watch supports construction activities at new sites by handling equipment, digging, retrieving tools, and providing fire‑watch duties as directed by supervisors or journeymen. • Perform manual activities such as moving equipment, digging, retrieving equipment, and fire‑watch duties • Use fire extinguisher when needed • Climb onto structures and scaffolding • Follow directions from supervisor • Engage in prolonged standing, walking, bending, squatting and lifting • Maintain hand/finger dexterity for precision adjustments • Use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects and tools • Occasionally work at heights, climb ladders, stairways and platforms • Use vision for focus, distance, color, depth perception and peripheral awareness • Work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, snow, wind for up to 12 hours

What You Bring
The role requires reliable transportation, the ability to work any day as needed, and successful completion of pre‑employment health and drug screening. Employees must adhere to safety protocols, wear required PPE, and be capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions for up to 12‑hour shifts. • Have reliable transportation and work 7 days as needed • Pass pre‑employment health and drug screening • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools • Demonstrate good problem‑solving abilities • Exhibit good manual dexterity • Possess good reading comprehension • Work effectively as a team player • Communicate clearly with co‑workers and supervisors • Commit to Zachry values and safety rules • Be a Zachry ROF’ed employee (preferred) • Be a former Zachry employee (preferred) • Have basic mechanical knowledge (preferred) • Possess experience on an industrial construction site (preferred) • Hold formal or technical education (preferred) • Talk and hear to communicate effectively • Lift, carry and move up to 50 lb • Wear required PPE: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear protection, masks/respirators, safety vest, gloves, steel‑toe boots
