About the Role

The engineer will oversee site safety initiatives, conduct training, monitor compliance, manage incident reporting, and coordinate with OSHA and other regulatory bodies. They will also liaise with clients, unions, and insurance engineers while maintaining safety equipment and budgets. • Implement and administer safety program at each worksite, develop site-specific safety activities, and conduct safety orientation/training. • Document and track safety violations, conduct safety audits, analyze safety data, assist with major incident analysis, and manage OSHA reporting. • Review safety submittals, monitor trade partner work plans, assist with onsite injury management, organize safety celebrations, and participate in project planning/hazard analysis. • Provide safety-related information, evaluate industrial hygiene concerns, maintain knowledge of safety standards/regulations, serve as safety resource, and attend/chair safety meetings. • Collaborate with client safety personnel, union representatives, and insurance risk engineers; accompany safety/health/OSHA personnel on tours; ensure maintenance of safety equipment; manage PPE and safety budget. • Build effective relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and various organizational levels.

What You Bring

Candidates should possess a degree in occupational safety or related studies, or alternatively a high‑school diploma combined with CHST or STS certification, OSHA 30‑hour training, and at least five years of construction experience. Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and Microsoft Office skills are required, as well as a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively. • Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in occupational safety, health, or related field preferred; alternatively high school diploma with CHST or STS certification, OSHA 30‑hour training, and minimum five years of construction experience. • Current driver’s license. • Detail‑oriented with ability to organize and manage multiple project tasks. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety‑related software programs. • Positive, professional attitude with strong customer service skills. • Ability to interpret and communicate company policies. • Strong teamwork, initiative, communication, problem‑solving, and leadership skills. • Effective public speaking, presentation, and active listening skills; openness to diverse input and feedback. • Ability to travel up to 100 % as required.

The position can be staffed at either level depending on experience; salary ranges from $78,800‑$98,500 for level I and $81,800‑$110,400 for level II, with adjustments for certain locations.
