Field Service Representative - Power Distribution/Electrical
Perform on-site installation, repair, and maintenance of power distribution and UPS equipment.
Job Highlights
About the Role
• Perform assembly, startup, diagnostic, repair and preventive maintenance on power distribution and critical power equipment. • Troubleshoot issues alongside customers, electricians, sales partners, technical support and district service teams. • Complete field service reports, expense reports, preventive‑maintenance documentation and startup data sheets. • Collaborate with managers and regional service directors to resolve escalated technical problems. • Travel regionally (including overnight) to provide on‑site support and assist senior technicians on larger projects. • Support project managers during complex system start‑ups and act as a liaison for the District Service Manager when needed. • Follow strict safety practices (lock‑out/tag‑out, NFPA‑70E/OSHA guidelines) and report hazards or incidents promptly. • Utilize Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel) and Schneider’s digital tools for documentation and communication.

What You Bring
• Hold an Associate’s degree, trade/vocational certification, military training or equivalent electrical‑related experience. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and operation manuals; understand AC and DC power principles and circuit components. • Minimum 2 years of field service repair experience with UPS systems, power distribution, switchgear, ATS, or related equipment. • Demonstrate safe driving skills and proficiency with test and diagnostic equipment. • Maintain physical ability to lift/carry up to 40 lb, work in extreme temperatures, stand for extended periods and operate in confined spaces. • Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, including service reports and customer correspondence.

Benefits
This full‑time U.S. position offers a total compensation range of $66,000 – $99,000 per year, which includes base salary and a short‑term incentive. Pay is set within the range based on performance, knowledge, skills, experience and education, and is complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that covers medical, dental, vision, life insurance, Benefit Bucks, flexible work arrangements, paid family leave, 401(k) match, well‑being programs, holidays and paid time off, stock purchase opportunities and military leave benefits.
