About the Role
The HazMat Field Driver/Technician is responsible for safely transporting various waste streams to designated generator sites. This role involves operating straight trucks and tractor‑trailers to pick up bulk and containerized hazardous and non‑hazardous waste while complying with government regulations and procedures. • Operate trucks, including roll‑offs, tankers, gravel trains, tractor‑trailers, and box trucks. • Perform less‑than‑load (LTL) pickups. • Maintain driver documents such as logbooks, permit books, trip reports, and waste manifests. • Ensure accurate placarding, load securement, HAZMAT segregation, and labeling. • Maintain company equipment. • Utilize company technology, including mobile applications and software maintenance. • Conduct DOT/MOT pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections. • Interact and communicate effectively with customers to ensure satisfaction. • Process hazardous and non‑hazardous materials as needed. • Assist in maintaining good housekeeping at the facility and grounds. • Function as a technician on lab pack and field service projects when required. • Participate in the Site Safety program and required training.

What You Bring
• Understand state weight limit laws. • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, and compressor systems. • Knowledge of pumps, motors, motor controls, instrumentation, metal fabrication, and other maintenance functions. • Skilled in using hand and shop tools and instruments. • Demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail. • Prioritize, stay focused, and handle multiple, diverse responsibilities. • Class A Commercial Driver’s license required with hazardous material and tanker endorsements, or obtain endorsements within 90 days of hire.
