About the Role
The Foreman A serves as a crew leader with extensive experience, responsible for enforcing safety practices, efficiently scheduling crews, and maintaining detailed records. This position ensures strong customer and public relations by clearly communicating project issues, procedures, and techniques. In addition to overseeing day‑to‑day operations, the Foreman A trains and coaches team members on proper pruning methods, operates vehicles and equipment safely, and joins storm restoration efforts when needed. The role requires quick adaptation to schedule changes, strict adherence to line‑clearance contracts, and continuous participation in technical and leadership training. • Enforce safe working practices following company policies and procedures • Schedule crews efficiently and assign work • Maintain written and computer records • Assist fellow workers in meeting project objectives • Maintain good customer and public relations • Communicate project issues, concerns, and procedures to customers • Lead, train, and coach team members on natural and directional pruning techniques • Operate vehicles and equipment professionally and safely • Assist visual observation and safety checks during vegetation management • Join storm restoration efforts as needed • Ensure crew members carry out work as planned • Secure safety of self and others using proper tools, safety equipment, and PPE • Participate in ongoing training to improve technical and leadership skills • Coordinate and inspect the work of crew members • Comply with company reporting procedures and complete paperwork • Provide on‑the‑job training for less experienced climbers and bucket operators • Inspect personal protective equipment (PPE) properly • Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working order • Ensure crew understands work directives and can communicate with customers/property owners • Follow company safety rules, policies, and procedures • Travel long distances on short notice when required • Work extended periods in various locations when required • Proper use and maintenance of hand tools • Work outside frequently in inclement weather • Perform all related work as required to complete the job

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least two years of relevant experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English (Spanish is a plus). A valid driver’s license is required, with a commercial license preferred, and the ability to travel on short notice, lift over 50 lbs, and work in various locations and inclement weather is essential. Applicants should demonstrate broad knowledge of climbing skills, electrical line‑clearance operations, pruning techniques, and possess strong leadership, communication, and safety‑conscious attitudes. The position involves regular exposure to outdoor conditions, loud noise, fumes, vibration, and occasional extreme weather at construction sites. Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, climbing, handling tools, and working at heights or in confined spaces while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment. • Adapt quickly to abrupt changes in plans and schedules • Understand and adhere to the Line Clearance Contract with the Owner • Communicate effectively with crew members • Demonstrate knowledge and experience required for subordinate positions • 2+ years previous experience • Read and communicate effectively in English • Bilingual Spanish/English a plus • Valid driver’s license • Commercial driver’s license strongly preferred • Lift in excess of 50 lbs • Willing to work overtime when requested • High school diploma or equivalent • Safety conscious • Excellent communication and people skills • Broad knowledge of climbing skills and technical aspects of electrical line clearance operations • Thorough knowledge of proper natural and directional pruning techniques • Proven top climber (CA) performance • Working knowledge of crew equipment and efficient operation • Excellent leadership skills • Understand when to wear personal protective equipment • Perform rigorous physical labor • Proper use of company radio • Capable of receiving and following directions • Capable of working at heights and/or confined spaces • Read/write and communicate effectively
