About the Role

The Mount Isa branch is seeking a local Warehouse Worker to deliver warehouse and distribution services to internal and external customers. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the role involves supporting day‑to‑day operations, following detailed instructions and working effectively within a team under routine supervision. The position requires proactive liaison with management, suppliers and customers, handling receipt, picking, packing and dispatch of spare parts and materials, and conducting inventory control activities such as cycle counts and full stock takes. The employee will also prepare shipping documentation, enter data in Sandvik IT systems, investigate discrepancies, apply quality‑control procedures and maintain general warehouse housekeeping. • Liaise with management, suppliers and customers on store operations. • Receive, receipt, pick, pack and dispatch spare parts and materials. • Act as dispatcher for weighing, shipping, receiving and delivery tasks. • Conduct project work and support inventory control activities. • Prepare shipping documentation and enter detailed data in Sandvik IT systems. • Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions. • Perform stock cycle counting and full stock takes. • Apply quality‑control techniques and maintain warehouse housekeeping. • Drive and uphold OH&S policies while delivering excellent communication and customer service. • Opt in for high superannuation contributions. • Participate in ongoing training, external study support and the Sandvik Wellness Program.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least three years of warehouse or stores experience in a heavy‑mining or equipment manufacturing environment and hold a current forklift licence. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, comfort with new IT systems and the ability to drive OH&S policies are essential, as are strong communication, customer‑service and teamwork skills. Flexibility for shift work, high energy and a legal right to work in Australia are also required. • Maintain a minimum of three years’ warehouse experience in heavy mining or equipment manufacturing. • Hold a current forklift licence and be proficient with Microsoft Office. • Work flexible shift rosters and possess the right to live and work in Australia.
